Over 12,000 bones have been removed from the quarry. The bones are given to museums throughout the world. The area was once a shallow lake.
In the visitor center, an Allosaur skeleton is available for viewing. Over 70 animals and 14 species have been found in the quarry. Over two-thirds of the uncovered bones, however, are from Allosaurs.
Those under 6 and over 100 are admitted free of charge.
