Morgan County Library, serving an area of 7,200 residents, has a collection of 29,000 books and periodicals; in addition, there are 1,470 CDs, records, cassettes and other audio materials, as well as 1,260 video items, such as DVDs and VHS tapes. Internet terminals are available for use by the general public. Staffing consists of 3 employees, including one fully accredited librarian, plus volunteers. Annual expenditures on the library collection total $19,800. Patrons make 32,000 visits annually, and check out materials 78,000 times. Forty-eight percent of all check-outs are children's materials.

04/12 Coming to The Morgan area Malad Valley Welsh Festival Malad City ID June28-July1 Today, Malad Valley has the largest per capita concentration of people of Welsh ancestry outside the country of Wales itself. For that reason, many residents of the Valley wanted to reestablish their Welsh roots. In 2005, after a 90 year break, this annual cultural event, now called the Malad Valley Welsh Festival, once again became a reality.
