Located 7,600 feet above sea level in the Manti-LaSal Mountains of the Wasatch Plateau, this state park encompasses a 2,800-acre lake that offers boating and year-round fishing. A summer and winter recreational site, snowmobile and cross country skiing are enjoyed within the park's spectacular mountain setting. Three areas within the park offer recreational facilities. The Mountain View area includes a campground, modern bathrooms and showers, fish cleaning and waste disposal stations, a day use area, rental boat slips and a boat ramp. This area is located 6 miles north of Scofield. Madsen Bay is a popular site for group and family reunions; it offers facilities comparable to Mountain View, and is located on the north end of the reservoir. The Lakeside day use area includes a group-use pavilion, modern bathrooms, and a handicapped-accessible fishing platform. All areas of the park are open May-November; just 10 miles off Hwy 6.
