This is the site of Utah's oldest existing governmental building. The Territorial Statehouse was constructed under the direction of Brigham Young in anticipation of Utah's statehood. The building was restored and opened as a museum in 1930 by the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, and became Utah's first state park in 1957. The park covers three acres, and includes additional historic buildings, picnic area, and an All-American Selection rose garden adjacent. The visitor center/Museums hours vary. A group-use pavilion is available. Park is open year-round. With picnicking spots and fresh drinking water
