The visitor center is located at the parks entrance and has exhibits about the Petersburg campaign, an audio-visual map presentation, battlefield relics, maps and models. This is where the 4-mile self-guided Battlefield Tour begins. Some of the tour road is reserved for hikers and cyclists. Four different points on the tour road lead to battle sites.
