In 1955, the Daughters of the American Revolution donated these park lands to the State of Vermont. Foundations remain today of the first English settlers in this area about 1765 and are located in the picnic area of the park.

There are 70 camping sites including 24 lean-tos located in an open grassy area and under a stand of trees.

From Vergennes: Go 6 mi SW on Hwy 22A, 7 mi SW on Hwy 17.
