Burke Mountain Academy is a pioneer in the integration of academic and athletic excellence. Founded in 1970 by Warren Witherell, the school coordinates a special program of academic studies with training and racing schedules for alpine and Nordic skiing. It offers equal opportunities to students without regard to their race, religion, color, sex or national origin. The academy uses the scholar/athlete combination as a catalyst for growth. Students are instilled with a desire to learn with dedication and determination. They are given the perfect environment to make, meet and surpass challenges they set for themselves.
