Silver Lake State Park is a small 34 acre park offering canoeing, boating, fishing and a beach on the lake. There is a good fishery of northern pike, perch, bass and other warm-water species. During the winter months the lake is a popular spot for ice skating and ice fishing.

The campground has 40 tent/trailer sites and 7 lean-to sites. There are two restrooms in the camping area with running water and hot showers. The beach has a food concession, rest rooms, changing rooms, and boat and canoe rentals.
