Search Dorset Vermont

Barrows House is a collection of eight white clapboard buildings on 12 acres in the heart of a small picture-book Vermont town. Guests have a choice of 28 accommodations in different buildings, each with a history and style of its own. Each is furnished in its own restful style with antiques, old family pieces and modern bedding. Each of the house rooms has its own sitting room, porch or terrace; several have fireplaces, all have air conditioning. Their restaurant serves house guests, area visitors and local residents. The eclectic regional cuisine features fresh local ingredients presented with flair. Horseback riding and trout fishing on the famed Battenkill and Mettowee Rivers are found close by, and hiking trails abound throughout the area.
