The Mad River Valley hosts an array of unique and cultural events. Outdoor Recreation in summer includes canoeing, Mad River Canoe, golf, tennis, soaring, hiking, walking, mountain biking, road biking, fly fishing, and horseback riding. The Valley is home to two ski areas Sugarbush and Mad River Glen. In winter they have downhill skiing, cross country skiing, skating, snowmobiling, and snowshoeing.
