Dedicated in 1968, the museum has 5 rooms with over 20,000 items on display, including pioneer photos and artifacts, an old store display, glass and porcelain collections, a Victorian parlor and much more.
The parlor features a lovely collection of gowns dating from 1843-1920's, an 1867 Chickering square grand piano that you may play, and our military, space and Mt. St. Helens displays.
Next door, the Whitehead Room has pictures of our local schools, Benton County dignitaries, Hanford and White Bluffs history and collections of toys, dolls, and cameras. Coming soon is the new Mexican-American Display.
In the Farm Room see a furnished homestead shack and an 1886 Doctors buggy. Pictures of Horse Haven and Rattlesnake Hills pioneers and typical farming scenes are displayed on the walls along with dozens of other farm-related items. New to this room, are the History of Yakima Valley Wineries and the research and family history library.
