Bridge of the Gods

Search Visit Washington

The Bridge of the Gods crosses the Columbia River about four miles upriver from the Bonneville Dam - WA Shore Visitor Center. According to Native American legend, a natural stone arch bridge existed here before collapsing. The current bridge was constructed in the 1920s. The bridge had to be raised 44 feet following the construction of the Bonneville Dam in 1938. Today, it provides a link across the Columbia to Oregon.
