Before the arrival of Russian, English, Spanish, and American explorers in search of fur, 10,000 Native people thrived in the Hood Canal region surrounding Brinnon. Brinnon features the third oldest Boy Scout Camp in the U.S. Over one-third of Brinnon residents are of retirement age. Brinnon contains the widest variety of plant, animal, and aquatic species of any county in Washington. A vast array of recreational opportunities exist in Brinnon, including fishing, hiking, camping, clamming, and much more. Brinnon invites you to come and explore the Hood Canal with its calm waters and colorful sunsets, and find the rewards of the Olympic and Kitsap Peninsulas.
