Camas was originally named LaCamas by Native Americans after the Camas roots they used for food. Situated along the Columbia River in the eastern hilly portion of Clark County, Camas is home to approximately 13,000 residents and several large, hi-tech manufacturing industries. Camas is part of the Portland-Vancouver, Oregon-WA metro area.
