Gardner Cave is the feature attraction of Crawford State Park and is the second largest limestone cavern in Washington.
The cave is filled with stalagmites, rimstone pools, and flow stone. Contemporary accounts indicate the cave was discovered in 1903 by Mr. Ed Gardner, who homesteaded near the cave.
Cave tours are operated May 1 through September 20. Call to pre-arrange a tour for a group.
Park facilities include picnic sites, interpretive trail, picnic shelter, and restrooms.
The Washington State Parks system includes more than 125 developed parks and covers about a quarter million acres.
