The park was once a peach orchard and ranch, which was started by three brothers. The name "Daroga" comes from the first two letters in the first names of the three brothers.
The 90-acre park, with 1-1/2 miles of Columbia River shoreline, features camping, hiking, picnicking, fishing, boating, water skiing, sailing, windsurfing, swimming, tennis, basketball, volleyball, baseball, soccer, cycling, birdwatching and jet skiing. The park is located on the shores of Lake Entiat and is about 20 miles north of Wenatchee on Highway 97.
The Washington State Parks system includes more than 125 developed parks and covers about a quarter million acres.
