Named for the first head of the U.S. Forest Service, Gifford Pinchot National Forest is one of the oldest National Forests in the United State. Located on the southern border of Washington with Oregon, the forest contains 1,312,000 acres and includes the Mount St Helens Natl Volcanic Monument.
