The history of Hedges Cellars is anything but conventional. Originally started as a negotiated brand exclusively for the Swedish market, the first two vintages were sold in Europe only.
Hedges moved into their new winery on Red Mountain in time for the 1995 harvest.
The Hedges estate vineyard, adjacent to the winery, is planted to include 20 acres of Merlot, 18 of Cabernet Sauvignon and 1 of Cabernet Franc with plans for expansion.
Hedges Cellars Sales and Administration is in Issaquah, just east of Seattle. Today, Hedges Cellars wines can be found in 45 states and 15 foreign countries.
