Bellarmine is a Catholic school in the Jesuit tradition of education. It has close ties to the Jesuit order whose inspired leaders began this enterprise in one remote building in 1928 on the present sight that overlooks the city and Mt. Rainier. It enrolls approximately 1,000 students. They travel from as far away as Thurston, Kitsap and King counties. The school sits on 42 acres and has grown from one building to many, including a state-of-the-art library and computer facility.
