Makah National Fish Hatchery

Fall chinook salmon are the primary fish reared at the hatchery, along with smaller number of coho and chum salmon and steelhead trout. The hatchery is open daily from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. The best time to visit is in the fall. October and November are primary spawning months. Tours can be arranged.

The hatchery is located on the Sooes River about 8 miles south of Neah Bay. Follow the signs.
