Unique Okanogan National Forest has a variety of country -- craggy peaks, rolling meadows, and old growth forest.
It is one of the oldest national forests in the country, set aside in 1897. The forest encompasses over 1.7-million-acres and offers visitors scenic drives, hiking trails, old mining towns, and wilderness areas.
Recreation opportunities abound in the Okanogan National Forest with snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, fishing, camping, and other activities.
