On the border with British Columbia, the Pasayten Wilderness has more than 500 miles of hiking trails, including the Pacific Crest National Hiking Trail. Its half-million acres are contained within the Okanogan National Forest and Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest.
The wilderness is home to the largest population of lynx in the Lower 48. Other wildlife you may see here include mountain goat, deer, moose, bighorn sheep, wolves, and grizzly bear.
