Every year thousands of tourists come to the Yakima Valley for the sunshine, scenery and recreation. It may be the 300 days of sunshine that draw visitors or perhaps the year-round recreational activities or agricultural beauty.

Award winning wines may be another reason for the attraction. The Yakima Valley is a picturesque vineyard country on a grand scale. Besides wine touring, you can follow backroads to many small farms. Specialty food producers offer local cherries, handmade chocolates, pickled asparagus and gourmet popcorn.

Unique attractions range from the proud heritage of the Yakama Nation Cultural Center to the western community of Toppenish, the "city of murals." An abundance of activities is available while in the valley. Bicycling back roads from winery to winery is a favorite recreation. The Yakima River Greenway includes more than 10 miles of foot and bike paths. Or, if you fish, enjoy spectacular fishing on the Yakima River Canyon.
