The Golden Anchor offers luxury log cabins, accommodations and fine dining overlooking the famous Dolly Sods Wilderness area in beautiful Canaan Valley. They have tastefully decorated cabins, namely Hillside cabin, Honeymoon cabin, and Pondview cabin. All cabins have Cathedral / Vaulted ceilings, plush sitting area, satellite television with VCR, telephone, ceiling fans, hot tub, and full kitchen with dishwasher and utensils. The restaurant serves seafood from markets on the Eastern Shores. Some of the specialties include fresh moonlight mushrooms stuffed with Maryland crab meat, freshly shucked select oysters on the half shell, hearty clam chowder simmered with plenty of clams, potatoes and vegetables, rainbow trout stuffed with fresh crab meat dressing, breaded and deep-fried, served with spicy cocktail sauce or tartar sauce, and Jumbo shrimp, lightly dusted in fine bread crumbs, sauteed in garlic butter and served over garden rice. Smoking and pets are not permitted.
