Located on the western face of the Big Horn Mountains in the Bighorn Basin, Paint Rock Creek contains many beautiful canyons that numerous species make their home during the long winter. The creeks contain many species of fish and trout. There are many uncharted archeological sites, as well as newly discovered ones that are eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places. Human occupation dates to 11,000 years ago.
